You Will Love This Very Cool Oris Big Crown X1 Calculator Watch Replica Review

Next month the independent Swiss watchmaking brand will officially present its new fake Oris Big Crown X1 Calculator (ref. 01 675 7648 4264-Set 5 23 77) automatic pilot’s watch.

Well, I guess most of you have already noticed that the watch has a certain “Breitling” smell about it. Featuring the traditional coin-shaped bezel and an easy to read dial, the watch doesn’t look particularly original, but still makes a very nice impression with its high build quality and attention to even the smallest details.

According to official info, the watch will be supplied in an oversized 46 mm stainless steel case with attractive grey gunmetal PVD treatment. On an average wrist, this oversized monster takes almost all available space and the long lugs are clearly not helping to make the problem any less glaring. On the other hand, if you are looking particularly for this kind of effect, you may actually like this timekeeper since it, unlike many competitors, doesn’t look like it was artificially inflated: all elements of the case and dial look very proportional to each other.

The source of the (not quite unpleasant) odor is, of course, the fluted bezel and the slide rule that makes the upcoming best Oris copy watch very much alike the legendary Navitimer and other aviator’s watches from the great “B.”

Can’t say that I like the similarities, but let’s get down to business.

The dial, while certainly overloaded with info, brilliantly performs its main function –telling time– thanks to a pair of huge hour and minute hands.

On the black background of the central part of the dial they look very contrast and literally strike the eye with white Superluminova.

Unfortunately, Oris still can’t afford an in-house caliber of its own and definitely doesn’t want to bother itself with buying “history” hand-wound chronograph movements, so they simply equipped the timekeeper with the tried and true ETA Valjoux 7750 ebauche.

The movement, which is only slightly decorated, is known for its reliability and serviceability, so the choice is very practical, if not original. More than that, with a list price of $3950 USD, the watch is quite expensive, but the price is, at least partially, justified by the automatic caliber that the Swiss watchmaker used to power this mens Oris copy watch: it is actually not that easy to find a watch that is animated by one of those legendary 775x workhorses instead of the usual combination of an inexpensive ETA (or Sellita) three-hander with an add-on complication model that not only makes the whole product more, well, complicated to service, but also makes it overall less reliable.

The Mens Stainless Steel Oris Swiss Hunter Team PS Watch Replica

The upcoming Oris Swiss Hunter Team PS watch replica Edition series of watches may not look particularly original to those especially interested in aviator’s timekeepers, but, with a part of the proceedings promised to be diverted to a fund supporting the good old Cold War-eraHawker Hunter Mk 58 fighter jets, it certainly supports a noble cause.

The famous Patrouille-Suisse display team used the legendary Hawker Hunter Mk 58 planes for almost thirty years. The war birds that came into service in the late 1950s were officially retired only in 1994. Like it always happens, the old planes were substituted for more agile and maneuverable Northrop F-5E Tiger II jets.Writing off an obsolete plane is like killing an old horse: if you are a good man, you just can’t help crying.

Some time later, the many fans of the team started a public campaign for saving the British-built planes from being sold as scrap metal.

In 2009, the Swiss watchmaker Oris decided to join the cause and introduced the gorgeous Oris Hawker Hunter limited edition watch. Presented in a 46 mm case, it was nothing but stunning.

This year, the brand shakes the boat again. Enter the Oris Swiss Hunter Team PS Edition family of watches.

Offered both as ladies and gents fake Oris Swiss Hunter Team PS watches, the timekeeper will be available in a 38 mm and a 44 mm bodies respectively.

Both models offer water resistance rating of up to 100 meters and are equipped with the Oris Cal. 733 automatic movement, which is based on the well-known Sellita Cal. SW200 blank caliber.

Thanks to a pair of broad sword-shaped hands and a healthy amount of lume on them, both versions offer superb legibility, although the 44 mm version with its dark-grey dial looks more contrast than the ladies version.

With an MSRP of $1750 (the 38 mm version that was apparently designed for ladies for some reasons costs $100 more), the watch is not terribly expensive, especially if you factor in its reliable and fairly accurate movement and an overall clean and functional design.

While the ladies version of the watch features dressier appearance with 13 diamonds serving as hour markers (the marker at 12 o’clock sports a pair of the precious stone,) the gents version looks almost like a true pilot’s oris copy watch.

Reviewing The Swiss Steel Oris Challenge International de Tourisme 1932 Automatic Timepiece

Reviewing The Swiss Steel Oris Challenge International de Tourisme 1932 Automatic Timepiece

The Swiss watchmaker has presented the vintage-fashioned Oris Challenge International de Tourisme 1932 replica (ref. 01 733 7669 4084-Set LS) limited edition automatic watch. Featuring a classic notched bezel, a set of art-deco-styled Arabic numerals and nicely shaped luminous hands, the watch looks cool and is also easily recognizable among hundreds of standard B-urh-style timekeepers. Well, in fact, there were two such planes that the Polish engineers brought to take part in the Challenge, but it was the SP-AHN 06 that got the highest prize (that’s why the central seconds hand has a winged “06” symbol on its counterweight). Unfortunately, both winners -pilot Franciszek Zwirko and mechanic Stanislaw Wigura- died just two weeks after the closing ceremony when their plane crashed during a storm.

Returning to the timepiece itself, I can help but notice that, unlike many pilot watches, this particular gadget comes in a well-proportionate body with elegantly shaped lugs and a slightly oversized winding crown that makes it especially easy to operate the device. The crown seems to be a little too long and there is a risk that the part will bite you in the back of your palm from time to time. Paying homage to the winners of the contest, a Polish team of airplane designers and aviators, the best fake oris challenge international watch comes with its solid case-back cover engraved with a silhouette of the RWD 6 sports plane.

As to the legibility, it looks absolutely flawless. The hour and minute hands are painted with light-green Superluminova and are of different shapes, which makes it especially easy to tell time even in darkness. A set of square-shaped hour markers make this task even easier.

According to the brand’s PR service, the watch will be issued as a limited edition model with only 1923 pieces being ever offered for sale. As you can see on the picture, each Oris Challenge International de Tourisme 1932 will be offered in a nice presentation box that will also include an engraved Zippo lighter that will somehow offset its fairly impressive price of $1850 USD.

Oris doesn’t make its own movements, but there is no problem with that: the caliber Sellita SW200 that powers the Oris copy watch is well-known to qualified servicemen and is also relatively affordable, which makes it easier (and cheap) to service the timekeeper or repair it if something goes wrong.
